Signature Installation · Jumeirah Park, Dubai
The Floating Boulder Chandelier.
Three sculptural stone forms suspended within an eight-metre double-height living space — a bespoke biophilic installation designed and built by Green Zen.
The brief
How do you fill an eight-metre wall without filling the wall?
The main living area of this private Jumeirah Park residence rises through two floors. The owners wanted a focal point with presence and calm, but conventional wall art would not respond to the scale of the space.
Green Zen proposed working with the volume instead: three lightweight sculptural boulder forms suspended at varying heights so they appear to hover above the room.
Concept, craft & outcome
A floating landscape engineered for the architecture.
Double-height volume
The composition was developed to respond to the full height of the living space rather than treating the wall as a flat surface.
Suspended forms
Three sculptural forms create an asymmetric natural cluster, balanced against the furniture and glazing below.
Individually rigged
Each form was rigged and balanced on site, with suspension points concealed to preserve the illusion of weightlessness.
Zero-maintenance feature
The finished installation brings geological form indoors without irrigation or ongoing horticultural maintenance.

On-site installation
Designed to look effortless. Delivered through precise coordination.
Working from the room proportions, the boulders were positioned to read as a natural cluster: asymmetric, unforced and visually balanced. The stone texture creates the appearance of mass while the engineered lightweight construction allows the forms to be safely suspended.

Before to after
From empty volume to sculptural focal point.
The installation demonstrates Green Zen's broader approach to biophilic design: nature does not always have to mean planting. Geological form, material texture, scale, shadow and spatial movement can create an equally strong connection to landscape.
